Flintlock pommel pistol, Louis XIV. Flintlock lock, flat body and swan-neck hammer. Round barrel with firing band and front sight. Carved walnut stock, chased brass fittings. Finely openwork counterplate with foliate decoration. Brass cap, long ears and thumbpiece featuring a medallion under an open crown, flanked by two lions and a mascaron. Orange peel, restoration to shank. Total length: 50.5 cm Bonne mécanique France, Louis XIV period. Class D weapon. Appraised by Alban de Grave
