Georg Herzig studio collection

Born in Metz on July 3, 1941, during the second annexation. After completing his schooling in Germany, he studied art with Professor Loschwitz in Berlin. He later received further training in Old Master painting and restoration techniques. Herzig then travels the world, making study trips to India, Afghanistan, Turkey, Greece, Denmark, Mexico and the United States. Herzig settled as a freelance artist in Provence, nearAvignon, where he remained for twelve years. Finally, he spent two years with the Tarahumara Indians in Mexico. Georg Herzig died in Bonn on June 13, 2008. Some of his works are kept at the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
