A funerary pole known as an “Aloalo,” also called a “magic pole,” erected over the tombs of Mahafaly nobles. These sculptures served as intermediaries between the world of the living and that of the ancestors, conveying blessings and protection. Beautiful period patina, ritual erosion. Height: 182 cm
