Pwo dance mask evoking a female ancestor; it represents a well-defined female face adorned with scarification marks, with fine, regular features. This mask is danced by a man during the initiation rites of the Mukanda society. 1st half of the XXᵉ century. Height: 21.5 cm. Cracks. Provenance: From a French private collection.
