Long statue of a village chief depicted standing on a circular terrace, with slender arms along the body and hands on either side of the prominent umbilicus. The elongated, serene, finely sculpted face features extensive frontal and jugal scarification. Characteristic scarification marks also adorn the entire body, highlighting the chest, stomach and legs. Finely incised crest headdress.
Wood with brown patina, traces of age-old use.
