Standing Buddha - Lot 53
Standing Buddha Burma (Mandalay), late XIXᵉ - early XXᵉ century Red lacquered wood (teak) with traces of gilding. H. 181 cm. Standing Buddha, body draped in a utarasanga with vertical folds, head capped with tight curls surmounted by a flame-shaped ushnisha; elongated earlobes. Missing forearm attachments (mortises visible) make it impossible to identify the mudra with certainty. Old patina with ritual wear.
