Dominique Mathieu (b. 1970) BRUT Desk table in chestnut, wood and glass H. 74 W. 160 D. 79 cm Note: A committed designer, Dominique Mathieu is known for his three-stage approach. Resident at Villa Médicis in 2000, he initiated a first cycle (1995-2007) marked by experimental design and industrial production. From 2007 onwards, his work took a political, social and ecological turn, fueled by the Fracture sociale exhibition and his involvement with CAC Brétigny, where he designed perennial devices in close connection with uses. Since 2015, his work has been anchored in a critical and ethical approach, where form dialogues with production conditions and their impact on the environment.
