24) Gaston CHAISSAC (1910-1964) Autograph letter signed to the editor of the Revue "Maintenant". 5.5.49 One folio page with address. Fine text on Tristian Birard: "Painting is not dead or even only in agony, and it's doing wonderfully well... even as my pendulum sets out to discover, under cool shadows, hidden or as yet unsuspected talents... The lady has the gift of painting to one degree, one degree... and that she will do wonders in a short time...". And after his signature he adds "l'ancien commis du bourrelier d'albert Gleizes".
