Steel bezel, black "dot diagonal 70" aluminum insert, serious accent on the Tachymeter E, glass signed Omega. Crown signed Omega. Screw-down steel caseback engraved with the Seahorse and "Speedmaster", inside signed Omega reference 145022-69ST, made by Huguenin Frères. Antimagnetic soft iron cage. Omega calibre 861 mechanical chronograph movement, numbered 2911****, steel chronograph brake. Steel bracelet signed Omega reference 1039 date 3 69 with 516 end pieces, Omega steel folding clasp. Movement and chronograph functional at time of appraisal, but not guaranteed in time, condition of parts not guaranteed. Slight marks to case and bracelet, significant scratches to glass, dial faded from black to a deep chocolate-brown color.
Circa 1969
Diameter 42 mm
While the 145022-69 reference is not rare, it is increasingly rare to observe such references in such beautiful condition, setting aside the normal wear scratches for a 1969 watch, and above all consistent on all aspects of their components, including case, bezel, dial, bracelet and movement. Due to an anomaly in the paint used on Omega dials at the time, the color shifts from black to brown, here very evenly distributed over the entire dial surface. A very fine example that deserves a cleaning and overhaul before continuing its long life.
