Paul HUET (1803-1869) Mountain landscape with stream, 1858 Oil on canvas. Signed and dated later on the back; handwritten label on the back reciting: "Cette toile peinture a été acquise à la vente aux enchères à Grenoble, de la collection de M. Petit, président de Chambre à Grenoble, avec l'annotation de ce dernier au dos du cadre, P. Huet 1858. There is a strong presumption that this work is by this painter-engraver (1803-1869), cousin of President Petit, to whom this artist had also donated signed watercolors of his own. This is Paris by Madame Silet in Voiron, daughter of President Petit". (age patina) 21.5 x 16.5 cm (canvas) 40 x 35 cm (frame)
